Water Stations:
There will be aid stations approximately every mile along the race course. These will offer water and/or sponges/towels, and/or water hoses. Medical aid will be available at the finish line and a sag wagon will monitor the race.
Sponges/Towels:
Sponges or towels will be available before the water station starting at mile two.
Awards:
Overall winners (top 3 male and female) will be based on gun time. No double-dipping.

Avoid driving on Lee Dr. , Market St., and Decker Dr. as these streets will be closed before the race.

Do not run this race if you are unprepared. The combined heat and humidity on the 4th of July in Baytown makes the Baytown Bud Heat Wave a very strenuous and taxing race. Entrants should only seek participation in this event if they are well conditioned and cautious in their race strategy.
No runner under the age of 12 may participate unless accompanied by an adult.

FROM THE BEAUMONT AREA
Take I-10 West to 146 South (exit #798). Once exited, turn left onto TX 146S for approximately 9 miles and exit the W. Main Street Exit. Turn left onto W. Main Street going under the overpass and through the light at Lee Drive. Once passed Lee Drive, take a left onto S. Pruett Street (small convenient shop on corner). Follow S. Pruett street over the railroad tracks. Once you pass the railroad tracks, take a left on the 2nd street named W. Republic. This street leads to Lee College Parking Lots 10 and 11 (designated runner parking).
FROM THE HOUSTON AREA
Take I-10 East to the SPUR 330 BAYTOWN EXIT (#788). Continue on Spur 330 to 146 S (LaPorte). Once on 146S, exit the W. Main Street Exit. Turn left onto W. Main Street going under the overpass and through the light at Lee Drive. Once passed Lee Drive, take a left onto S. Pruett Street (small convenient shop on corner). Follow S. Pruett street over the railroad tracks. Once you pass the railroad tracks, take a left on the 2nd street named W. Republic. FROM THE FRED HARTMAN BRIDGE LA PORTE OR 225
Take 146N over the Fred Hartman bridge. Once over the Fred Hartman Bridge, exit the W. Main/Missouri Street Exit. Pass through the first light (Missouri Street) to W. Main. Turn right onto W. Main Street through the light on Lee Drive. Once passed Lee Drive, take a left onto S. Pruett Street (small convenient shop on corner). Follow S. Pruett street over the railroad tracks. Once you pass the railroad tracks, take a left on the 2nd street named W. Republic. This street leads to Lee College Parking Lots 10 and 11 (designated runner parking).
